OFFICIAL VISIT

MINISTER OF HEALTH ST. HELEN'S HOSPITAL INSPECTED. When the Minister of Health, tht Hon. J. A. Young, visited Wanganui yesterday afternoon, he was met by representative citizens. Accompanied by Mr W. J. Ragers, Mayor, Mr W. A. Veitch, M.P. for Wanganui, Mr T. H. Battle, Wanganui Hospital Board representative, and Ml J. S. L. Deem, city engineer, the Minister inspected St. Helen’s Hospital and also conferred with the City Council representatives and Mr Veitch in connection with the proposed widening 1 of Heads Road in the vicinity of the hospital.

Last night, Mr Young was at tho Wanganui Winter Show and expressed himself as well pleased with the exhibits. Later he left for Auckland. To-night in tho northern city he will b< the guest at the annual gathering of the Warehousemen’s and Commercial Travellers’ Association.
