IN ACCORD

CITY AND COUNTY No. 1 LINE AND TAYLORVILLE BANK. “I think that thing is settled well,” remarked a Wanganui County Councillor at yesterday’s meeting, when a letter was received from the City Council advising agreement between the city and the county over repair operations to No. 1 Line and the Taylorville Bank. The letter read: —“I have to acknowledge receipt of your letter advising that your council has approved of the proposal that each party should undertake its own work for a period of 10 years in connection with Taylorville Bank protection and construction on No. 1 Line.

“The Wanganui City Council has also agreed to tho proposal, and it has passed a resolution accordingly. Tho city solicitor has been authorised to confer with your county solicitor to finalise the terms of an agreement.” Members view© 1 the letter with satisfaction and the correspondence was received.
