AMUSEMENTS AND MEETINGS

CONCERT AT GONVILLE FOR SWIMMING CLUB. "What promises to bo one of the finest concerts to be staged at the Gonville Town Hall will be provided next Tuesday night when Mr A. L. Griffiths’ concert party will supply a programme that has never been excelled in the history of Gonville concerts. In addition to the inimitable items that have made Mr Griffiths a favourite with audiences over a wide area there will be items by leading Wanganui talent in music, song, dance and story. A special hour’s entertainment will be provided for children between 7 and 8 p.m. As the object for which the concert has been promoted is one close to the heart of every Gonville parent, it is anticipated that there will be a large attendance, so that the fund for the extension of the Gonville .Swimming Baths should benefit considerably.
