LATE RATES MAINTAINED. [ Australian Press Assn. ] Received May 19, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, May 19. At the wool sales 9856 bales were sold, of which 5346 bales were Australian and 2072 New Zealand. There was a good selection of Merinos, but a limited supply of other sorts. There was good general competition and late rates were maintained. New Zealand sales were: Waverley, 35d, <34£d; St. Peter’s Pass, 29d, 28d; Rosevale, 49d, 4-sld; K in diamond, 2ld; Teviotdale, 26|d, 24Jd; Gerard, 30d, 28$d.
