Mr Francis Raymond Hyde arrived from Canada by the Aorangi to-day, and is now in the Auckland Hospital. Ho comes from Gisborne and is 25 years of ago. When three weeks in British Columbia he met with an accident, tho vertibrae being crushed and the spinal cord severed completely, paralysing tho lower part of hl» body. He sought compensation but the owner of the farm on which he was employed . disclaimed responsibility. He, however, made Hyde a gift of £5O and Hyde was informed after Government officials had visited him. that he would, be returned to New Zealand.
