THE HOME MARKET [ Australian Press Assn. ] Received May 18, 10 p.m. LONDON, May 17. At the wool sales 9430 bales were offered, of which 1682 were Australian and 5704 New Zealand. There was an average lot of Merinos and greasy crossbreds and a splendid selection of scoured crossbreds. The slipcs market was very firm, there being keen Home-trade competition. AGENTS’ REPORTS Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd. are in receipt of the foillowing wool market cablegram from their London agents, dated May 16:—.Sales continue with a good tone. Greasy Merino market shows a hardening tendency. Scoured Merino best, opening rates are barely maintained. Crossbred greasy, market show’s no change. Crossbred scoured, market shows a hardening tendency.
