CRICKET HUNTERVILLE CLUB WITHDRAWS FROM ASSOCIATION A special general meeting of the Huntervillo Cricket Club was held on Thursday night for the purpose or discussing the position of the chib in regard to the association, tho latter having asked for an apology within a week for the tone of the letters written, otherwise Huntervillo Club would be suspended from the association. Air W. H. Bowick presided over a large attendance of members. After considerable discussion lasting over three hours it was decided on the motion of Towers and Hall: “That the Huntervillo Cricket Club withdraws its affiliation from the Rangitikei Cricket Association.” PERSONAL Airs J. McH. Abel is spending a few days in Wellington. Miss Ella McDonald is at present on a visit to Auckland. Miss Mavis Lourie has returned home from Hawke’s Bay. Airs J. T. Wotten is at present on a visit to Wellington. Air A. Meeking, of Cambridge, is the guest of Air D. V. Stewart. Aliss Marjorie Dean is on a visit to Hunterville. Aliss Bonna Butemcnt has joined the staff of the Wanganui Hospital. Air A. C. Alorton, Ohingaiti, has been appointed judge at the dog trials at Palmerston Winter Show. Messrs P. Rhodes, A. Dalziell and L. Dalziell returned home last evening after spending several days fishing at Taupo. Air S. A .R. Mair, accompanied by Crs. A. S. Coleman and P. Pedersen, is visiting Taranaki inspecting the tarsealed roads. Aliss L. B. Lane, of Christchurch, and recently of Hunterville High. School staff, paid a brief visit to Hunterville this week. Alessrs Logan McLean and K. Al. Hammond represented Hunterville at a conference of Rabbit Board delegates held at Feildin g on Wednesday and Thursday. Air A. W. Kidd, who has been relieving at the local branch of the Bank of New Zealand, left on Wednesday for similar duty at To Awamutu. MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB The Afangaonoho Aliniaturt Rifle Club held a shoot this week, the ladies on Wednesday and the men ox Thursday night. Ladies (third shoot for Air C. Stephenson’s trophy, five shoots). —Airs F. Paget 8—61—67; Aliss E. Parkes 8—65 —67; Airs K. Dalziell 5—59—64; Aliss R. Paget 10—50—60; Aliss Al. Paget 9—49—58; Airs J. Tabor 10—39—49. Afternoon tea was provided by Airs F. H. Powell. Alen (third shoot for Air T. Brunton ’s Cup, 8 shoots, with with handicap and 4 without:—A. Gibbs 5—64—67; E. Gibbs 5—62—67; C.
