LATU-COMEKS AT A PARISIAN THEATRE. In referring to the action of the managenient of the Theatre re I'Atcliere, Paris, in deciding that after the rising of the curtain latecomers shouh! not be admitted until the interval, the Paris correspondent of an American peper writes:—“The measure was too revolutionary for certain quarters, and the loader of the Critic'c Trade Union, Paul Ginisty, while admitting the director’s right, protested from his seat in the stalls against the refusal to allow Strowski admission after the commencement of the piece, thus “obliging the critic who lecturer! l in several American cities last Summer to wait an hour and a talf on the sidewalk. ’ ’ Such remarkable forbearance on the part of a play reviewer, however, failed to soften the hearts of the management who, nevertheless, came forwan! in the person of the administrator. Rene Bruyez. apoologising for the unfortunate mishap, but maintaining the theatre’s determination to pursue its efforts, ridding itself of the habitual latecomers, who, besides noisly stumbling into theeir places, insist on saluting their acquaintances with characteristic Latin effusion.
