QUEENSLAND FLOODS Desolation Wrought at Mount Morgan Mine ROY AND GIRL DROWNED. [ By Telegraph—Per Press Assn.—Copyright ] [ Australian Press Assn. —United Service ] BRISBANE, April 23. Although the flood danger is now past, immense flood. damage occurred at Mount Morgan mine. The dam broke following ten inches of rain on Friday, and thc water rushed into houses and shops. Residents spent a night of terror and looked upon a scene of desolation the next morning. Thc gas mains are exposed and fences arc down, while debris and furniture are floating everywhere. Two more people are reported drowned —Thomas Major, aged eight, at Graccville, and Kathleen Duffy, a girl, near Rockhampton. THE DAMAGED ORAMA TO BE DOCKED FOR REPAIRS. [ Australian Press Assn.—United Service ] SYDNEY, April 23. The Orama, which was damaged in the Brisbane River during the floods, has reached Sydney and will go into dock. Her departure has been delayed until May 1.
