ST. JOHN AMBULANCE. i Notice is called to the advertisement announcing the commencement of classes for the study of First Aid to the Injured. The class for women .commencing Wednesday evening May 9. and those for men at an early date. Attention is also called to the postponement of the annual meeting until May 2, subscribers and friends are asked particularly to keep this date in mind. THE DUCHESS THEATRE ARAMOHO. “The Perfect Sap” starring Ben Lyon and Pauline Starke will be the attraction at The Duchess Theatre tomorrow night. The picture is highly entertaining and should please everybody. The supporting items are excellent. PROHIBITION ADDRESS. Particulars are announced in to-day’s advertising columns of two speakers visiting Wanganui in connection with the work of the New Zealand Alliance. The General Secretary, Mr C. R. Edmond, is well known throughout the Dominion not only in connection with the prohibition movement but as one of the leading men of the Y.M.C.A. Since his arrival in New Zealand from Australia about 12 months ago, the Rev. J. R. Blanchard B.A. has earned for himself a place in the front rank of public speakers.
