Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the 19th inst.:— Lamb: We quote N.Z. prime Canterbury lamb lamb 28/36 lbs, 91d, North Island 9|d; Canterbury 36/42, 9 l-Bd, North Island B|d; Canterbury 2nd quality S|d; North Island Bid; Canterbury 42/50, BJd; North Island Bjd. Market firmer, upward tendency. The demand runs principally on light weights. Mutton: We quote Canterbury 48/56 North Island 6|d; Canterbury 56/64, 6 l-8d; North Island Canterbury 64/72, sd, North Island sd. Market unchanged; demand runs principally on heavy weights. Beef: We quote New Zealand prime ox beef, hinds 4 5-Bd, fores 3|d; demand moderate. Market, any change is in favour of sellers. Quotations are nominal. Argentine chilled hinds 74d, fores 4|d.

Pork: We quote English porkers 80/ lOOlbs, 10Jd; N.Z. 80/100, 6->d; N.Z. 100/120, 6 l-Bd. Quotations nominal. Frozen pork, rather more enquiry.
