AMUSEMENTS AND MEETINGS.
WANGANUI HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY. The Autumn Chrysanthemum Show, the first of the Diamond Jubilee shows to be held during 3928 (Jubilee Year) will be held in the new museum building, Maria Place, on Thursday and Friday, April 2(5 and 27. Arrangements are well in hand and the show promises to be the largest and most successful of its kind ever held in New Zealand.
Exhibitors are reminded that all en tries close with the Hon. Secretary Air. V. B. Willis, on Monday, April 23
WANGANUI BURNS CLUB
In the lives of many thousands of people to-day, Robert Burns is a more vital and insistent presence than the men and women who puss them daily in the street. Only a great authority on Robert Burns can explain such enthusiasm and in (he Hon. James Craigie M.L.C., the Wanganui public will have the opportunity of liearinr of the glory that was Robert, and the grandeur that was Burns. Air Craigie will give his address on Tuesday in St. Paul’s Hall, when a programme of Burn’s songs will also be submitted.
