An important conference of delegates of the Jersey Breeders’ Clubs of New Zealand was held to-day when a scheme for classifying cows according to type w r as approved. The me.eTing considered that there were many advantags to be gained by being able to. form a reasonably correct opinion of an animal’s value by considering type and the classifications approved wore highly commended. It was pointed out that if classification were well done, type, by degrees, would be as stable as production records, and would carry equal weight, A similar scheme has been operating in Jersey Island for years.
