Alexander of Maxwell, the well-known Romney breeder, r. n tly sheared one of his stud 13 months old hoggets, clipping 261bs. of wool which, when sold by Messrs Wright Step en l son & Co., Ltd. at the wool sale in iFebruary, realised 234 d. per lb. t'hefeLby obtaining the magnificent rett ? ; o f E2 10s lid. from the hogget. ’ It is interesting to note that a Romney lamb, a half brother to this hogget, was recently sold to a bre. ,ler at Hunterville for 100 guineas.
