Arthur Newton, who is leading in the foot race from Lost Angeles to New York—organised by “Cash and Carry’ ’ Pyle, the originator of professional tennis—ambled over 32 miles of the Mojav© Desert on Saturday in five hours. Newton has now covered tho 240 miles from Los Angeles to Danby iu 36 hours.
