DAMAGES AWARDED WIDOW’S CLAIM NOT CONTESTED [ Per Press Association. 1 WELLINGTON, Alarch 23. Compensation amounting to £10(K was awarded in the Arbitration Court to-day to a wodow, Emma Sheppard, of Karori, whose husband lost his lifo as a result of injuries received while in the employ of Mitchell and King, contractors, and funeral and medical expenses amounting to £24 10s were allowed plaintiff. A few minutes sufficed for the. case to bo disposed of, judgment being given by consent.
