AIR SPEED RECORD
BRITAIN’S NEW ATTEMPT MANY APPLICATIONS EXPECTED (By Radio) RUGBY, March 22. Royal Air Force pilots are being invited to volunteer for an attack on the world’s air speed record. Hundreds of applications are expected and the pilot of physique and experience in high speed flights will be selected. A Super-marine Napier S 5, similar to that in which I’light-Lieutenanc Kinkead was to have made his effort will be used.
