BROADCASTING
Sir, —According to your paper of yesterday’s date, some listeners ia Wanganui are just about as hypocritical as some of our radio friends in Auckland. In my opinion the Christchurch announcer is the best all-roui*d announcer in Australasia, and to speak of him as talking on as a parrot reflects little credit on the listener, ho is evidently not sufficiently intelligent to appreciate the immense amount of news reports and other matters which JIY’A is always prepared to put over the air. My complaint is that an announcer such as the one in Christchurch should be at Wellington. It is essential that we should have there the man who can give us quantity as well as quality, and so far as delay be-
tween items, all four stations are guilty, but will some of the critics show us how this, at times, can be avoided? The Broadcasting Company has more than fulfilled its part of tho business, and we are getting far more than what we pay for. LISTENING-IN. Ohakune, March 23.
