THE WANGANUI SALE The Wanganui brokers report;—Wo held our sale to-day of skins, hides and tallow, before the usual at.tcnclance of buyers, when competition was keen. Sheep skins.—We quote; Half bred .12(1 to 17d, fine crossbred 12s to 17d, medium coarse crossbred lid to IGid, short to half wools 8d to 14d, lambs lOd to Ifid, dead and damaged 8d to 124 d, inferior and badly damaged 4d to lOd, salted and green 2s fid to 8s fid. Hides.—Firm, cows recovered from last, sale drop. We quote: Ox,heavy 70 Id and over 9d to 13d, ox, heavy 59 lbs to fiOlbs Bjd to 12 5-Bd, ox, medium 50/58 8d to 12 l-Bd, ox light 49 and under 7d to 12d„ cut, slippy and inferior 4d to lid, cow heavy 531bs and over 8d to 12d, cow, medium 42 to 52 8d to .12 5-Bd, cow, light under 42 Bcb o 13id, cow, slippy and inferior and cut 4d to llld, bull, stag, etc 4d to 8(1, yearlings (lllbs to Ifilbs) 5d to 13d, yearlings (171bs to 32)bs) 4d to 13d, calf, superior (up to lOlbs) none, calf, medium good 13 l-8d to 16d, calf damaged 7d to 12d, horse 2s to 9s fid. Tallow.—ln tins 19s 6d to 21s 6d; in casks 19s fid to 24s 9d.
