In the House of Commons Admiral Sir Walter Cowan gave notice of a question to the Postmaster-Genera! drawing attention to the risk of tapping beam wireless messages between Britain and Australia. He said in view of the large number of confidential messages passing between Britain and Australia, it was most important that secrecy be obtained. The British section of the International Chamber of Commerce passed a resolution in favour of cables anil wireless being in the hands of private enterprise.
