ON MARTON PARK EVENING SPORTS MEETING. lhe seeoiK. series of evening sports for the Rose Bowl competition were held in the Maxton .Park last evening. There was a largo attendance and a good programme was submitted, the novelty races proving very attractive. The following are the lesjlts:— 100 yards.—First heat: Corston I, Porter 2, Harre 3. Second heat; Whale 1, Ledingham 2, Gould 3. Final: Corston .1, Whale 2, Porter 3. 220 yards: Whale 1, Tatten 2, Porter 3. 880 yards: Gould 1, Tatten 2, Denford 3. One mile hairUcap: Gould 1, Smith 2, Gibbs 3. Boys’ quarter mile walk: Bramley 1, Daly 2, Larsen 3. Boys’ half mile: Atwell 1, Atley 2, Tolley 3. Cycling, quarter mile: Ehrhorn 1, Waipere 2, Carn cross .3. Half mile cycle: Bland 1, Carncross 2, Ehrhorn 3. One mile cyclo: Bland 1, Ehrhorn 2, Carncross 3. Two rnile cyclo: Ehrhorn 1, Waipere 2, Bland 3. Boys’ cycle race: Amer 1, Vincent 2, Wand 3. Novelty races: Bland on a cycle was matched against Ledingham on foot, for .100 yards Bland won by two yards. “,Snowy“ Alorus contested the 100 yards running, against Frccl. Cor]ett, who walked: 30 yards. Corlctt won by live yards.
