SERIOUS DAMAGE

FIRE AT FACTORY DAIRY PRODUCE DESTROYED [ Per Press Association. J NEW PLYAIOUTH, March 19. The Cape Egmont Dairy Factory was destroyed by fire early this morning. The factory was a wooden building, erectfi'l about 30 years ago. The origin of the fire is a complete mystery, but. apparently it started in the butterroom. A quantity of produce was destroyed but some cheese in the concrete storeroom was saved though possibly damaged. The. boiler room was also saved. The factory and contents were insured for £11,300.
