P. Lind- ' The chairman pointed out that the 1 girls should certainly have preference < over Lindsay if swimmerS were to be 1 sent with a chance of reaching the finals. Miss Miller, with a disadvan- e tage of a 110 yards hath, had swum 1 440 yards in only seven seconds out- < side the world’s record. t In the 25 yards both Lindsay’s time t for the 440 yards was 32 seconds out- b side the record, and he would have no ‘ chance against men like Borg and Weismuller.
