KEEN DEMAND CONTINUES. (A. & N.Z.) SYDNEY, Feb. 29. At the wool sales the keneness in demand for all sections was unabated and there was a hardening tendency, particularly in comebacks and crossbreds. AUSTRALIAN WOOL. Practically three-quarters of the Aus tralian wool clip has now been disposed of. Wool sold for the period from July 1 to January 31 aggregated 1,595,824 bales, as against 1,520,923 bales in the corresponding seven months of the previous season. The average price realised for wool this year was £24 4s lid, and 18.94 d per pound. The average price for all wool sold during the. whole of the 1926-27 season was £22 9s lid per bah 1 , and for the whole of the 1925-26 season the average price was £2l 15s 4d per bale.
