PERSONAL. Miss Dowsett (Wanganui) is the guest of Mrs W. Watson. Mr and Mrs S. Haigh (Woodville) art- spending a few days in Mangaweka. Mrs George McNie (Wanganui) has been visiting friends at Kawhatau. Mr and Mrs Glenn (Wanganui) are .visiting Mangaweka for a few days. Bishop Sprott (Wellington) was the guest of the Rev. and Mrs Langston during the week-end and performed the confirmation ceremony, also consecrating St. Stephen’s Church at Kawhatau. Mr M. Deighton (Kawhatau) left for Wanganui yesterday morning. BOWLING. The Mangaweka Bowling Club hold the final match for the champion pairs of gold buttons during the week-end. S. Dickinson and D. Watkins defeated J. Phillips and C. Jenkins, 34 12. The losers were runners-up, nd were awarded a pair of silver buttons. CROQUET.
