OVERCOMING FADING According to cable messages received from Great Britain recently a considerable measure of success is expected from arrangements which are being made to conduct experiments to overcome fading when picking up signals from overseas stations for rcbroadcast- ' ing. Dor several years engineers of the British Broadcasting Corporation have been experimenting on the signals from the several American short-wave stations, and from time to time these signals have been rebroadcast for the [ benefit of British listeners.
