GOOD COMPETITION AT LONDON AUCTIONS. Received December 1, 5.5 p.m. (A. & N.Z.) LONDON,'Nov. 30. At the wool sales 8713 bales were offered, of which 4483 were Australian and 4230 New Zealand. There was a medium selection of Merino, except the West Australians, which were mostly re-offerings, and an average selection of crossbreds. Competition was very keen for everything and prices were fully maintained. New Zealand prices were:— Grayhall 47d and 46cL THE SYDNEY SALES. (A. & N.Z.) SYDNEY ,Dec. 1. The fifth series of wool sales have closed. The sixth, will start on December 12. The market closed strong, with good general competition, particularly by the Continental and Japanese sections, at prices ruling during the week. Comebacks and crossbreds were particularly strong.
