THE YEAR’S WORKING. (A. & N.Z.) SYDNEY, Nov. 29. The report and balance-sheet presented to the meeting of the Bank of New South Wales for the year ended September 30 last showed that net profits after the deductions of various charges were £1,226,247, to which was added £171,925, the undivided balance. From this is deducted the interim dividends of 10 per cent, paid for the quarters ended December, March and June last, totalling £515,625, leaving a balance of £882,547, which the directors recommended be dealt with as follows:—Payment of dividend of 10 per cent, for the quarter ended September 30, absorbing £105,586; bonus of 10s per share, absorbing £185,586; augmentation of the reserve fund by £240,760; balance carried forward, £170,615.
