SWIMMING
WANGANUI EAST CLUB NEW SEASON’S ACTIVITIES At the annual genera] meeting of the Wanganui East Swimming Club the following officers were elected:— Patron, Mr W. S. Glenn, M.P.,; president: Mr E. Walpole; vice-presidents, Messrs E. V. Laws, Aldridge, J. Walker, Beckett, Harper, C. H. Warden, J. Scott, N. Annabell and T. Carlyle; secretary, J. Moxham; delegates, J. Scott and F. Sampson; captain, J. Walker; vice-captain, A. Blackburn; starter, Mr F. Sampson; committee, Misses M. Sampson, F. Price and V. Ashby; R. Harper, R. Tulloch, Beckett, F. Sampson, W. Fitzgibbons, Reynolds and R. Gordon. The first club swim will be held tomorrow night at 7.45. All members are requested to attend. The following races will be decided: 25yds ladies, 25yds girls, 50yds ladies, 25yds mon, 50yds men, 25yds boys, 50yds junior boys, diving.
