TAMAROA LEAVES LONDON, The Shaw, Savill and Albion liner, Tamaroa left London on Thursday for Southampton to embark passengers for New Zealand. The vessel was scheduled to resume her voyage on Friday. The cargo is for discharge at Wellington and Auckland. The vessel is due at Wellington on December 17. CARGO FROM NEW YORK. The New Zealand Shipping Company has been notified by cablegram that the City of Lyons, under charter to the A. and A. Line, left New York on Saturday with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton. Dunedin, Hobart, Launceston and Port Piri> The vessel is due at Auckland on December 8. HARPALYCE RETURNS. The tramp steamer Harpalyce, which left Auckland on Friday morning for Westport for bunkers, was recalled by wireless in the night. Instructions were received by cable by the agents, Henderson and Macfarlane, that the Harpalyce was to bunker at Auckland and then proceed to Sydney for orders, instead of going to Westport for bunkers, WEST CALERA COMING. Cable advice has been received that the American steamer West Calera sailed from Los Angeles last Tuesday with Pacific Coast cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth. The vessel is expected to reach Auckland on December 4. NEW STEAMER FOR AUCKLAND. Bought in England by Mr George Niccol and shipped out in sections by the Federal steamer Norfolk, which arrived at Auckland on Wednesday morning last, is a new steamer for Auckland. The sections were unloaded on Friday afternoon and taken round ! to Mr Niccol’s yard at Freeman’s Bay to be assembled. No particulars of the size or type of the vessel have yet been divulged, neither is anything known about the vessel’s future movements. WEST NIVARIA ARRIVES. With general cargo from the Pacific Coast the American-Australia-Orient Line steamer West Nivaria (5656 tons) arrived at Wanganui yesterday from Pacific Coast ports of America and berthed at the Castlecliff wharf to commence discharge. The vessel loaded at Vancouver, Portland, Oregon, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles, She left 'Frisco on September 10 and sailed finally from San Pedro four days later. Very fine weather was experienced for the run across the Pacific until about four days ago when strong south-westerley winds were encountered, holding the vessel back considerably and delaying her arrival by 18 hours. Otherwise the trip was of an uneventful nature. The West Nivaria has been trading in the Pacific Coast porte-New Zealand run for the last three years, but this is the first visit to Wanganui of an A.A. and O. vessel. She returned to America via southern ports and loaded for her present trip. Captain G. Hagberg is in command and associated with him are the following officers:—Chief, Mr E. M, Olsen; second, Mr H.
