EUCHRE AND DANCE AT CASTLECLIFF

The Castlecliff Social Club held a euchre and dance on Saturday evening, the function being largely attended. Seventeen games were played, Mrs Egan taking the ladies’ first prize with Mrs Peters second. Mr I. Hogan won the men’s trophy; Mr D. Brown being second. The hall was brilliantly decorated and an excellent floor and music provided all that could be desired. The card waltzing competition was won by Miss Dowdell and Mr R. Andrews. The chocolate competition was won by Mr P. Ramsay. Mr H. McKee was M.C. Mr G. Pedley presided at the piano. The ladies in charge of the supper arrangements were Mesdames McMahon, Travers and Deacon.
