Four murders occurred within the metropolitan district to-day, and four others persons were hurt in crimes of violence. Edward Dunsworth, a chauffeur, was found shot, dying on the steps of the local hospital. Egidio Romania was stabbed to death, two persons being held for the crime. Mrs Martlyse Mays is dying in a local hospital. She was found shot, but refused to disclose the identity of her assailant. The body of an unidentified man was found in a creek, apparently murdered. Four persons were hurt in a stabbing affray, including a woman.
