AMUSEMENTS AND MEETINGS
THE GEAND THEATRE Thrills, action and suspense, sprinkled with humour, feature Fox Films latest production, “The War Horse,” with Buck Jones in the stellar role, which starts its first showing at the Grand Theatre to-night. But, above all, the producers have made a picture that is a tribute to the horse and his participation in the World War. The story was written r>y Buck Jones. “The War Horse” tells the tale of Grey Eagle, played by Silver Buck, and his adventures on European battle fields. This is a splendid tribute to the horse and as the talc unfolds both human and equine actors go through a series of adventures that are of absorbing interest. A fine romance involving Buck a?sd Audrey Evans, played by Lola Todd, supplies the love interest, while Buck’s efforts to win her despite the opposition of an officer who wants to marry the girl himself, furnishes the picture with plenty of comedy. The supports include a wonderful travel picture entitled “Vendors of the World,” Fox News *nd Fox comedy.
