OVER FIVE MILLIONS

QUEENSLAND SHEEP LOSSES BY DROUGHT (A. & N.Z.) BRISBANE, Nov. 3. Statistics show that that losses of sheep in Queensland owing to the drought in 1926 wore 5,335,000. It is predicted that the 1927 returns will be equally as bad, there being an additional loss of nearly 1,000,000 in the potential increase, as only 11 per cent of the sheep at the end of the year will be under a year old.
