ARE THEY TOO LARGE? COMMITTEE’S RECOMMENDATION TO MINISTER. (Per Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Nov. 2. At a meeting of the Central School Committee a discussion took place on the question of the size of school classes, and the following resolution was carried—--11 Being persuaded that the best interests of the children and the ultimate welfare of the Dominion are being hindered by the present policy of large classes, this committee feels that the time has arrived when the schools of the Dominion should be more fully staffed than at present, and urges the Minister to introduce legislation to reduce classes to a size not exceeding 35. ’ ’
