EUCHRE TOURNAMENTS A MAGISTERIAL 'DECISION (P«r Prest Association.) CHRSTCHURCH, Oct. 27. Euchre tournaments are not a breach of the Gaming Act according to a decision given by Mr Mosley, S.M.. to-flay. The police prosecuted William Alfred Britten, who had conducted tournaments for his own profit. It was admitted that the functions were fairly conducted. In dismissing the information the magistrate held that skill predomin ated, and said there was nothing prejudical to public morals wheie games were played as in the case under consideration.
