SHOOTING

ON THE MINIATURE RANGES P. AND T. CLUB CLOSES SEASON. The P. and T. Miniatureßifle Club concluded its season’s activities on Friday last when four important competitions were decided. Although the majority of the competitions were fired on the latest S.M.R.C. targets with their reduced bull eyes the six highest aggregates given below are sufficient to indicate the high standard of shooting which has been maintained during the whole season, over which period the competitions for the cups and club championship are held. Fittall 567 16 583 * Won cup outright. Drew’s £up. For the past three seasons E. Black has been unfortunate in not winning this handsome trophy as he has secured a fine score each season but has finally suffered defeat by a narrow margin. ’Phis season again he had 22 consecutive bulls to his credit and although he looked a winner his chance was upset a fortnight later by W. Hudson with 26 bulls iu succession. The following week—during the final shoot of the season—R. Byres put forward his claim with 28 bulls and therefore holds the Cup for twelve months. H. J.
