ALTERATIONS DESIRED NEW ZEALAND ALLIANCE RESOLUTIONS (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 15. The Dominion Executive of the New Zealand Alliance met on Friday, when resolutions were passed urging the Gov ernment to alter the present law so as to throw upon any person charged in respect of any motor accident who shows any signs of having taken liquor the onus of proving that such accident was not caused thereby. Resolutions were also passed stating it was not right, politic or justifible in any way for the State to afford legal protection and sanction to traffic in liquor; the Legislature ought to remove all discredited and obstructive barriers to a clear expression of the people’s will and all good citizens should combine to ensure of this being done
