SENSATION ON WHARF WOMAN FALLS INTO HARBOUR (Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 15. As the Manuka was leaving Lyttelton on Saturday night a sensation was caused when a woman, who was waving to friends on the steamer, fell over the wharf into the water. But for the smart action of the master of the steamer in stopping the propellor a tragedy might have occurred-. The woman was rescued by her husband and' a seaman.
