[ Special “ Chronicle ” Service. ] The Rauru Rugby team met Waitotara on the Domain here on Saturriay, Rauru vanning by eight points to nil. This was a well contested game, but owing to the very wet state of the ground good pasing was not possible on account of the greasy bail. PERSONAL Mr H. Grove and Mrs Grove who have been farming here for 14 years •ill be leaving the district shortly for he Auckland district. Air Grove durng his residence here has been a real ■j • live wire.” He was for some years local presid-ent of the Farmers’ Union and was also a good asset to the sports clubs. He took a great interest in helping to form the tennis court. THE WEATHER The weather has been very wet of late, especially during last week, which is very bad for the young lambs. It has also 'had the effect of Relaying gardening operations.
