THE LONDON MARKET. Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated August 12:— "Frozen meat quotations (prices on a 'delivered’ basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, tolls, etc.): — ’Down lamb, 28/421b., 9d per lb.; best North Island, 28/421b., Bjd per lb.; ordinary North Island, 28/421b., BJd per lb.; second quality lamb, BAd per lb.; best North Island wethers, 48/641b., 5 5-8 d per lb.; best Not-lh Island wethers, 64/721b., 4fd; ordinary North Island wethers, 48/641b., sid; North Island ewes, 48/641b., 4 l-8d per lb.; North Island ewes, 64-721 b., 4d per lb. New Zealand prime ox beef, 160/2201b., none offering. As compared with last week’s cabled advices, the market for lamb is unchanged. Better demand for mutton all round, particularly ewes.
