SOUTHLANDERS PLEASED WANGANUI LIKES VISITORS. “There is one thing that impressed me more than anything else during the Southland-Wanganui match on Saturday,” said Mr Donnelly, the manager of the Southland touring team, when chatting with a ‘ ‘ Chronicle ’ ’ man lastevening. “The impartiality of the crowd,’’ he said, “was a pleasing feature of the game, and tho 1 applause for any outstanding movement on the part of our team was particularly gratifying to us. “Would you, through the columns of the “Chronicle,” express our thanks for our fine reception?” he concluded.
