LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

WORK IN THE COUNTRY

Sir, —We in the country read a lot about the unemployed in Wanganui. What is my experienced I advertised in your paper for a good farm hand. Result: Two single men from Wanganui. I can only draw the conclusion that the single men arc taking advantage of rhe generosity of the Wanganui people (also taking the work from the married men) and won’t go into tho country as long as they can see a way of hanging around tho towns, and the people of Wanganui are helping them so they can be near the picture shows. WAYBACK. Moawhango, August 12.
