SALE. GOOD COMPETITION MAINTAINED (Per Press Association.) FEILDING, Aug. 12. At the Feilding stock sale a medium yarding of both sheep and tattle generally met with good competition. Fat sheep yarded in large numbers, and maintained the high values of last week, though at the opening bidding dragged somewhat. Prices on closing were very firm. Dairy cattle were keenly sought, practically every line being disposed of under the hammer. Fats—Hoggets, 20s 7d to 365; ewex, 23s 3d to 31s; wethers, 32s 6d to 36s Id; maiden 2-tooth b.f. ewes, 25s 9d to 355. Stores—Wether hoggets, 13s 9d to 24s 3d; small owe hoggets, 18s 7d; T. and f. wethers, 30s 3d; f. and f. ewes, 20s 9d; aged ewes in lamb, 13s to 25s lOd. Cattle.—Springing high grade Jersey heifers, £4 5s to £lO 10s; springing cows, £5 15s to £8; fat bullocks. £7 7s 6d to £8 ss; fat heifers, £3 to £3 10s; fat cows, £4 2s 6d to £8 Is; yearling heifers, £3 4s to £3 13s.
