RELIEF FUNDS INCREASE HELPING THE WORKLESS The efforts made by residents of Wanganui to assist the worklcss continue to be apparent in the additions to the relief fund. Tho list of yesterday’s contributions is as under:—
As community endeavours to relieve the position, a Male Choir concert will be held in the Opera House to-morrow evening, an additional performance of “The Arcadians” in the Opera House on Monday night, and on the same evening a benefit film programme in the Duchess Theatre (Aramoho). A community auction will shortly take place, and, on August 24, a combined Caledonian concert will be held in the Opera House.
