WANGANUI AND PATEA RETURN MATCH PLAYED During the week-end a strong team from Patea played the annual return match with a team from the Wanganui Club, captained by Mr F. I. Jones. To be right up to date, instead of the customary four ball match, a foursome was played in the morning and a pairs match in the afternoon. Wanganui had their revenge for the heavy defeat inflicted by Patea on June 3, winning the foursomes by 7 games to 2 and the pairs by 14 sanies to 7. A feature of the game the ‘honours were reversed in nearly every case where the same opponents 1 met in tho return match. The detailed results were as follows.
