COMMUNISM IN FRANCE

TROUBLE AMONG TROOPS A RESTIVE GARRISON. PARIS, July 25. There has been another Communist demonstration among the men of the Bourges garrison. On a recent night some reservists of the 95th Infantry having been put in the guard-room for overstaying their leave, some of their companions formed themselves into a group in the square of the Carnot Barracks and started singing the “Internationale” as a preface to trying to set the men free. Failing to find the guard-room, they went off to demand the liberation of the men under arrest, but dispersed at the sight of the colonel of the regiment. A few wrecks ago there was a somewhat similar incident among the artillerymen at Bourges.
