FEILDING SALE. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report: At Feilding on Friday we had a good entry of both sheep and cattle. Sheep were in keen demand and fats sold at slightly better prices than at previous sales. Our cattle entry comprised mostly dairy stock, which sold at late rate-5. Some pens of bullocks failed to find buyers. We quote: — Slfcep.—Fat wethers, 29s 5d to 345; fat ewes, 21s tb 35s Id; fat black faces, 34s 3d; fat hoggels, 21s to 275; 4 and 5year ewes,. in lamb to S.D. rams, 26s to ,31s; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, in lamb to Romney rams, 28s 6d; ewe hoggets, 22s Id to 28s Id; b.f. hoggets, 19s Id; wether hoggets, 22s to 23s 7d. Cattle. —Fat cows, £3 15s to £4 7s 6d; fat heifers, £3 2s 6d; empty cows, £2 15s to £3 ss; store cows, £1 10s to £3; weaner heifers, £2 6s to £2 15s; yearling heifers, £2 17s to £3 Is; springing cows, £5 15s to £9; springing heifers, £6 to £11; pedigree Jersey springing heifer, £lB 18s. Dalgety and Co., Ltd. (Palmerston North) report having a fair yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle at the Feilding sale on Friday, all of which met with keen competition. Quotations: Fat lambs, 20s to 245; fat ewes, 26s 4d to 295; extra good fat wethers, 37s 6d; forward wethers, 28s 4d; m.a. ewes, in lamb to Romney rams, 23s to 275; 4tooth to 4-year ewes, in lamb to Boninew rams, 31s 4d; cull hoggets, 14s 9d, medium wether hoggets, 19s 6d to 20s 6d; small ewe hoggets, 23s Id; springing cows at drop, £7 10s to £9; springing heifers, £5 to £8 10s.
MABTON SALE. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report: There was a small entry of sheep and cattle at the Marton sale on Monday last. Quotations: —Fat wethers 35s 9d; fat lambs 24s Id; good b.f. lambs 21s 3d; 4-year bullocks £7 9s; slips 34s 6d, 355. AT HUNTEBVILLE. Dalgety and Co. report:—There was a small yarding of sheep and cattle at the Hunterville sale on Tuesday last. Quotations: —Medium wether hoggets 18s; aged ewes in lamb b.f. rams, 17s; 5-ycar ewes in lamb S.D. rams, 23s lid; empty cows £2 5s to £3 ss; yearling heifers £3 2s 6d; light fat bullocks £B. TAIHAPE SALE. Dalgety and Co., report:—There was a small yarding of sheep and cattle at the Taihape sale on Wednesday, all of which met with a ready sale. Quota-tions:—4-tooth to f.f.m. ewes in lamb b.f. rams, 30s Id; store cows £2; vealers £3; 18-months steers £3 ss; 1-year heifers 22s 6d; light fat heifers £4 13s; light fat bullocks £8 9s; 4-year bullocks £7 3s. SALE AT MANGAWEKA. Dalgety and Co. report:—There was a small yarding of sheep and cattle at the Mangaweka sale on Thursday. Quotations:—Cull lambs 10s 3d; forward ewes 14s; aged ewes in lamb Romney rams, 14s 9d; aged ewes in lamb S.D. rams, 15s 7d; two and four-tooth wethers 275; dairy cows £3 7s 6d, £3 12s 6d, £4 to £7; steers £6 3s 6d; fat cows £5 ss.
