SEEKING CHURCH UNITY THE LAUSANNE CONFERENCE (A. & N.Z.) LAUSANNE, Aug. 6. Dr. Gore, on the subject of the Churches’ common confession of faith said that for a union of Catholic and Protestant Churches some creed was necessary failing which he-recommend-ed setting all the people of the Christian faith to the pursuit of the moral and social aims of Christianity. This might prepare them within a generation to face doctrinal questions in a better spirit. Dr. Zollner stressed that all reforms were individualistic and worthless apart from the Churches’ influence and guidance. Lord Sands said that he saw no hope of union apart from a creed to formulate which should* mean a challenge from every si.de.
