At the Stamford Bridge. inter’Varsity and athletic meeting Oxford and Cambridge beat Yale and Harvard by seven events to five. At the Herne Hill track twelve competed in the 24-hours tandem paced cycle race which started- last night. Cycling. J. Holdsworth (Kentish. wheeler) covered 517 miles 630 yards, breaking the British record of 5.13 miles 1430 yards which has stood since 1909. Holdsworth also broke the records for twelve hours and onwards.
